Patient rights and duties
The relationship framework between BlueBody Aesthetic Center and every person who trusts our team.
Every person who enters Dr. Libardo Lambraño's practice takes an active role in their medical journey. Recognizing rights and duties — ours and yours — is what keeps the relationship professional, transparent and safe.
The following list collects the rights established in Colombian Ministry of Health Resolution 13437/1991, complemented with the reasonable duties patients assume when starting the care process.
Your rights
- Receive dignified, respectful, humanized care free from any form of discrimination.
- Know the medical team treating you and the names and credentials of everyone involved in your procedure.
- Receive clear, understandable information about diagnosis, therapeutic alternatives, risks, benefits, costs and timing.
- Grant or refuse informed consent freely, voluntarily and in writing before any intervention.
- Confidentiality over all clinical, personal and administrative information associated with your care.
- Access your medical record, request copies and ask for documented corrections.
- Receive continuity of care through the entire process (valuation, procedure and post-operative).
- Request a second medical opinion without compromising the quality of subsequent care.
- Decide whether to participate in academic, research or publicity activities, and revoke that consent at any time.
- File requests, complaints, claims or suggestions and receive a formal response within legal timeframes.
- Receive education on self-care, recovery and prevention.
- Know the economic conditions, payment options and refund policies before any commitment.
Your duties
- Provide truthful, complete and timely information about medical history, current medication, allergies and relevant habits.
- Follow the indications, pre-operative and post-operative recommendations given by the medical team.
- Attend scheduled appointments on time or notify cancellation as early as possible.
